  14.      GENERAL NOTES:

  16.        Macromedia's Shockwave for Director is a Director 4.0.4 
  17.        compatible Windows playback application.  This is the  
  18.        first shipping version and has been renamed from 1.0 to 
  19.        4.0 due to its support of Director 4.0.4 movies.

  44.      KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH WORKAROUNDS:

  46.        - Function varies when running in anything other than 
  47.          256 colors.
  48.          Workaround: Run in 256 color mode or 8-bit screen depth.
  49.        - General redraw/refresh problems.
  50.          Workaround: Select Reload from the buttonbar or View menu.
  51.        - A broken icon appears and the movie is not loaded.
  52.          Workaround: Select Reload from the buttonbar or View menu
  53.          and ensure the web server MIME-type is set to 
  54.          "application/x-director".  For further information, see:

  56.        - If the Disk Cache is set to 0 Kb, movies will not play.
  57.          Workaround: Increase Netscape's Disk Cache to 5000 Kb.

  60.      KNOWN PROBLEMS WITHOUT WORKAROUNDS:

  62.        - NetLingo commands.  PreloadNetThing may not work in 
  63.          conjunction with gotoNetMovie and gotoNetPage.  For best 
  64.          results, set the Cache Preference to "Verify Documents 
  65.          Once Per Session".  To set the Cache Preference, select 
  66.          Network Preferences from the Options menu.
  67.        - Tables.  Movies embedded in tables may crash.     
  68.        - Windows NT.  The 16-bit Plug-In may work with 16-bit 
  69.          Netscape under Windows NT, however, it has not 
  70.          been certified nor will it be supported at this time.
